Melissa is a Montville native who graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016 from the University of Hartford. Melissa's passion has always been treating athletes of all ages having had a 12 week clinical rotation at CCMC Elite Sports Medicine treating athletes ages 7-35 with various orthopedic injuries including concussion, ACL repair, meniscal repair, CRPS etc as well as continuing education in this area. Melissa began working at Independence Physical Therapy in September 2016. In her free time Melissa enjoys spending time outside with her dog, and playing volleyball and tennis.
